Tower crane security is becoming a major problem with building sites all over England as since the year 2000, there have been over 668 deaths, of which 16% have been caused by unauthorised persons gaining access to the crane. We at SHS design and build tower crane hoardings to suit site requirements.
Depending on the size of the enclosure, crane hoardings are generally free standing and require no excavations. All crane hoardings erected by SHS will be issued a certificate of compliance by us upon completion. Crane hoardings usually are erected to one of the following specifications.
- 2.4m high crane hoarding
- straight up 2.4m high crane hoarding with an outward leaning anti-climb “fan”
- 3.0m high crane hoarding straight up
- 3.0m high crane hoarding with an outward leaning anti-climb “fan”
- 3.6m high crane hoarding, straight up
We can also incorporate generators and diesel bunds where required. All crane hoardings are fitted with a pedestrian door fitted with a push button digilock. For examples of previous crane hoardings erected by our staff, please see the gallery.
